81Issue  A client from Georgia faced an inventory issue in the USA marketplace, where their products were either out of stock, overstocked, or not properly tracked in Amazon’s inventory system, causing delays in fulfilling orders and missed sales opportunities.

Solutions

I identified the root cause of the issue as inaccurate inventory management, inefficient stock tracking, and poor synchronization between the client’s supply chain and Amazon’s fulfillment system (FBA/FBM). These issues resulted in stock discrepancies, overselling or stockouts, delayed replenishment, suppressed listings, and negative impacts on account health and sales performance. To resolve this, I conducted a comprehensive audit of the inventory management system, including SKU mapping, stock levels, and backend inventory data. I identified inconsistencies between the client’s warehouse data and Amazon Seller Central, and corrected all discrepancies to ensure accurate real-time inventory tracking. I then optimized inventory synchronization by integrating proper stock management processes and aligning the supply chain with Amazon’s fulfillment network. This included updating inventory feeds, fixing stranded and suppressed inventory, and ensuring accurate SKU-level tracking across all sales channels. I also configured automated inventory updates to prevent future mismatches and maintain consistency. Additionally, I implemented advanced inventory planning and forecasting strategies using demand analysis, historical sales data, and seasonal trends. This helped in maintaining optimal stock levels, preventing stockouts, and improving inventory turnover rates. I also optimized FBA replenishment planning, ensuring timely restocking and efficient warehouse distribution. Furthermore, I improved supply chain coordination by streamlining communication with suppliers, optimizing lead times, and ensuring smooth logistics and order processing. I also reviewed fulfillment settings, shipping templates, and storage limits to enhance operational efficiency. As a result, the client’s inventory was accurately updated, fully synchronized, and efficiently managed across Amazon’s fulfillment system. This led to improved stock availability, reduced order delays, better Buy Box performance, increased sales velocity, and overall enhanced marketplace performance.
