Trademark Issue | Morocco
68Issue A client from Morocco faced a trademark issue in the USA marketplace, where their product listing was flagged for suspected infringement on a registered trademark, leading to removal or suspension of the listing.
Solutions
I identified the root cause as the unauthorized use of a trademarked name, logo, or branded product description without proper approval, which triggered an intellectual property (IP) violation under Amazon’s brand protection and trademark policies. This issue affected the listing’s compliance status and led to its suppression in the Amazon Morocco marketplace (Amazon.ae / regional listings serving Morocco).
To resolve this, I conducted a full compliance audit of the listing to identify all infringing content, including brand names, logos, and descriptive text that violated trademark guidelines. I then removed or replaced the unauthorized brand elements and ensured that the product information accurately reflected a compliant and original listing structure. Additionally, I gathered all required supporting documentation, such as invoices, authorization letters, or proof of legitimate sourcing, to strengthen the appeal case.
After making the necessary corrections, I submitted a detailed appeal to Amazon explaining the root cause of the violation, the corrective actions taken, and the compliance measures implemented to prevent future issues. The appeal was structured in line with Amazon’s IP dispute resolution requirements to ensure faster review and approval.
As a result, the listing was successfully reinstated, restoring product visibility and allowing the client to resume sales operations in the Morocco marketplace. This also ensured long-term compliance, improved account health, and protected the listing from future intellectual property violations.
